Michael Bowman Obituary
Mike was born Sept. 25, 1945, in Ironton, Ohio, to Elmer and Mary Bowman. He was full of heart from the beginning and dedicated much of his life to the United States Army. He served two tours in Vietnam and was awarded various honorable medals, including the Purple Heart and presidential medal. He loved his country and his family. Most days you could see Mike cruising the streets on his Harley visiting his favorite local spots.
Mike will be missed by his wife, Kathleen Bowman, and children, Ivy Bowman, Chad Bowman, Amanda Medford, Johnny Bowman, Michael Bowman and Angelina Taylor. "Pops" will also be leaving behind his six grandchildren, Sage Clarkson, Isiah Clarkson, Seth Bowman, Noah Doyle, Nallah Clarkson and Mya Doyle, and great-grandson Josiah Clarkson.
Those of you who know Mike, know he would like to be remembered for his witty and sarcastic humor, and although he will be greatly missed, the family believes they will have one hardcore angel by their side watching over them.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday at Craig Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers family asked that donations be made to the Paralyzed Veterans Association.
Craig Funeral Home, Crematory and Memorial Park is in charge of arrangements.
