Rene Blalock Obituary
Rene Kay Campbell Blalock, 65, passed away Sept. 25, 2013, at home after a long battle with Parkinson"s disease. She was born in Penn Yan, N.Y. She worked at the Soldiers and Sailors Hospital in Penn Yan, married and had two children, Kaylee and Michael.
She moved to St Augustine with her two children in 1986. She worked in the offices of Dr. Scarpitti, urology; Dr. James Joyner, OB/GYN; then at Dr. Montgomery and Dr. Warmuth, oncology; until she was unable to continue working due to Parkinson"s. She was preceded in death by her parents Ruth Chidsey Campbell and Donald P. Campbell, and her infant grandson Caleb N. Kirkham.
She is survived by her husband of 13 years, James Blalock of St. Augustine; daughter, Kaylee (Eric) Kirkham of Norwich, Conn.; son Michael (Tammie) Gould of Oceanside, Calif.; Bill (Cindy) Blalock, Steve (Kea) Blalock and Kathy (Tommy) Dodd of St. Augustine; Wayne (Patty) Blalock of Jacksonville; brothers, Ron Campbell, Brooklyn, Ohio, Don Campbell, Woodland, Calif., and Keith Campbell, Aiken, S.C.; 19 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 6 p.m. Friday at Craig Funeral Home, 1475 Old Dixie Highway. In lieu of flowers, you may donate in her name to Community Hospice Foundation at http://communityhospice.com or to the National Parkinson Foundation at www.parkinson.org.
Craig Funeral Home Crematory Memorial Park (www.craigfuneralhome.com) is in charge of the arrangements.

Jim and family,
Prayers to you all! Rene was a special person. I worked with Rene at Dr Joyner's office for 81/2 years and we had many good times in her little white Miata ! She loved that car! Jim thank you for being such an awesome husband and loving Rene so much! She is in Heaven with her mom and dad now and not suffering any more!
