Robert Ellsworth Taylor, 90, formerly of St. Augustine, Fla., died Friday, July 1, 2011, at Hospice Home of Rockingham County, N.C.
Mr. Taylor was born Oct. 9, 1920, in Kanawha, W.Va. He was retired from Kaiser Aluminum Corporation.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Field Taylor; daughter, Barbara Slater; parents, Alford Taylor and Rhoda Moffatt Taylor; five brothers and two sisters. Survivors include his sons, Fred (Sandy) Taylor, of St. Albans, W. Va.; Roy (Pam) Taylor, of Montegut, La., and David Taylor, of St. Augustine, Fla.; daughter, Rhoda (Larry) Skeen, of Stokesdale, N.C.; sister, Beatrice Gandy of Charleston, W.Va.; 12 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
There will be no formal services. Colonial Funeral Home in Madison is serving the family. Condolences may be offered at www.colonialfh.net.
