Scott Edward Leese

1949 - 2017

Scott Edward Leese, age 67 of St. Augustine, passed away at his home on March 17, 2017. Mr. Leese was born on Aug. 4, 1949, in Birmingham, Alabama, to Guy and Marian "Sauders" Leese. Mr. Leese served as a U.S. Marine from 1967-1971 during Vietnam. Following his honorable discharge, he worked for BellSouth for 30 years and then Woodchucks for 12 years. He had a strong passion for collecting World War I and World War II collectable memorabilia, fishing, and was a member of Living Stone Church in St. Augustine. He also enjoyed using his metal detector on the beach where he found all kinds of treasures. Mr. Leese will be remembered for his love of God, family and his country.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Guy and Marian "Sauders" Leese. Survivors include his wife of 36 years Vickie "Nolan" Leese; children, Jamie Leese, Adam (Ming) Leese, Chris (Karen) Leese, and Heather (Adam) Brenneman; sister, Sherry (Dave) Moser; in-laws, Martha "Gigi" (Mitchell-deceased) Nolan; brother-in-law, Mike (Roselyn) Nolan; seven grandchildren, Nate, Charissa, Carissa, Shelby, Cameron, Hannah, and Jackson; and his dog Roscoe. He was loved by many others.

Funeral services will take place at 2 p.m. Sunday at St. Johns Family Funeral Home with military honors. Services will be officiated by Pastor David Rice.
