Vivian R. DeVera, 72, St. Augustine, died May 1, 2012, at the Bailey Family Center for Caring. She was born in Winner, S.D., and had resided in St. Augustine since 1972, moving here from Toledo, Ohio. She was retired from FSDB, and she also worked as a bartender at the Crow Bar for 35 years, retiring from there in December. She was a member of the Ladies of the Moose and was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie Lodge #4256. She touched many lives and was loved and respected by many. She will be truly missed!
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, May 5, 2012, at St. Johns Family Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Craig Memorial Park.
A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at St. Johns Family Funeral Home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph DeVera, a son, Terrell Mann, her parents, four brothers and one sister.
She is survived by her son, Dean Mann (Margaret), St. Augustine; three sisters, Corale Parker (William), Hay Springs, Neb., Diane Hill (Dave), Rapid City, S.D., Joan McGowan, Riverton, Wyo.; one brother, Duane Smith (Rosalie), Puyallup, Wash.; two sisters-in-law, Joan Smith, Rapid City, S.D., Pat Smith, Hartford, S.D.; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
St. Johns Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Vivan, hope your are at peace! Bob and I have been trying to call u... we don't know what happened... YOU brought so much JOY, not only into our loves, but my grandsons, they dearly loved u too.

Our Thoughts and Prayers to all the family members.What a GREAT lady Vivian was. We always looked forward to going to Florida to see Vivian we Loved her so much, she was always looking forward to seeing us too. I am in shock over this it won't be the same this year when we go to Florida. She was also so GOOD to my parents who live in Florida. RIP Vivian we will miss you and we Love you.
