Annette M. Mozuch
Annette M. Mozuch age 93, of Stevens Point passed away Tuesday July 10, 2012 at the Portage County Health Care Center, under the care of Ministry Hospice.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Annette will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday July 16, 2012 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. Rev. Thomas Lindner will officiate. Burial is in the Guardian Angel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 - 7:00 PM on Sunday at the Shuda Funeral Chapel - Stevens Point. Visitation will also be on Monday from 9:30 - 10:15 AM at the funeral chapel. The St. Stanislaus Rosary Society will combine with the General Rosary to be prayed for Annette at 6:00 Sunday night at the Shuda Funeral Chapel.
Annette was born July 26, 1918 in Rosholt, the daughter of Stanley and Clara (Zoilkowski) Cieslewicz. She attended local schools and graduated from Central State Teachers College in Stevens Point. Annette taught in the Rosholt area for six years before attending and graduating from St. Mary's School of Nursing. She was a member of the United States Nurse Corp and then became a pediatrics nurse at St. Michaels before becoming the Portage County Public Health Nurse for four years. She retired in 1973 after 31 years of nursing. Annette married Francis A. Mozuch on October 22, 1946 at St. Adalbert Catholic Church in Rosholt. The couple raised five children. Annette was a 50 year member of both the St. Stanislaus Rosary Society and Catholic Daughters of America. She belonged to the Catholic Womens Club, and was awarded the Woman of Light Award by the Stevens Point Deanery. She served as a minister of the Eucharist and the prayer chain at St. Stan's. She enjoyed reading, gardening, fishing, and the warm sun. After retirement Annette continued to share her skills by volunteering to care for those in need at their homes. She adored her time with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Annette is survived by her children: Ken (Helen) Mozuch, Stevens Point; Barbara (Lawrence) Lorbecki, Stevens Point; Mary (Ron) Robson, Spring Green; Kathy (Rick) Stroik, Poway, CA; Elizabeth Mozuch, Stevens Point. 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. 5 brothers: Vincent (Helen) Cieslewicz; Tony (Jean) Cecil, Marty Cieslewicz; Tom (Doris) Cecil; Michael (Enid) Cieslewicz. 4 sisters: Josephine Smith; Rosalie Sloan; Pat West; Clare (Dave) Jozwiak. Sister-in-law: Terry Cieslewicz. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Francis in 2005, 3 brothers: Francis, Stanley, and Casey; one sister Mary Sherfinski.
