Dr Nielson touched my life many years ago. His bed side manor and surgical skills made a lasting impression on my life. I send my condolences to his family and all those he cared for.

Chris was my surgeon and doctor for a couple of things in the last few years for myself and my partner. He was one of the best doctors I ever had. A great surgeon but also an amazing human being. I loved his good spirit, smile, humanity, and comforting yet honest approach to things that were scary to me. Lots of people in Northfield knew to go to him for local surgeries. I was so sorry to hear of his passing. My thoughts are with the family and friends who knew and loved him.

I worked with Dr Nielsen when he was a physician in Stevens Point. He was much respected, and so well liked by his co workers and patients...this is such a shock.....my sincere sympathy to his family.

I was lucky enough to meet Chris's loving family and I will indeed think of him every time I ride my bike on the beautiful trails he loved. All love and blessings - Rich

So saddened by the sudden loss. The Kelly boys grew up with the Nielsens and saw Chris as a strong, confident older brother who was always generous and kind. He was a role model to many. Although we hadn't seen him in many years, it is no surprise that he went on to become a great man, father, husband, and friend to many. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family as you work through this loss. Jim, Marty, Ryan, and Kris Kelly
