Ronald Kulick Obituary

Kulick, Ronald I.

Ronald I. Kulick, 74, of Stevens Point, died early Sunday morning, Dec. 15, 2013, at home while under the care of his family and Ministry Home Care-Hospice Services.

He was born on April 4, 1939, in Stevens Point, to the late Chester and Irma (Fitzmorris) Kulich and was a 1947 graduate of P.J. Jacobs High School.

He served in the U.S. Navy from July 9, 1957, to July 7, 1961, as a personnel clerk, having earned the Good Conduct Medal. His honorable discharge, at the rank of Petty Officer 2nd Class, took place at Naval Air Station Moffett Field, California.

On May 28, 1960, Ron was married to Josephine Gonzales at Naval Air Station Moffett Field, while he was in the service. The couple later settled in Stevens Point.

Ron served 32 years on the city of Stevens Point Fire Department, retiring as Deputy Chief.

Survivors include his wife, Josephine of Stevens Point; son, Steve (Jodi) of Ripon; daughter, Julie (John) Grogan of McFarland; son, Bob (Bridget) of DePere; daughter, Lisa Kulick of Madison; son, Pete (Michaele) of Bellevue; grandchildren, Max, Barney, Meg, Lynn, Jake, Ross, Emmett, Katie and Emily; and sisters, Lucille Beadle, Carol (Dick) Scipior, Marie Hopp and Cheryl (Dan) Kluck.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Ronald's name to either Ministry Hospice or the Oncology Dept. at St. Michael's Hospital.

The Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 20, 2013, at St. Peter Catholic Church in Stevens Point with the Rev. Arul Joseph V. officiating. Full Military Honors will follow the Mass at church. Burial will be in Guardian Angel Cemetery. Visitation will be in the St. Faustina Room of the church on Friday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the time for Mass.
