RANAE WOLLE Obituary

RANAE DOREEN WOLLE RaNae Doreen Wolle, 70, of Lakeville passed away on February 18, 2024, at her home. A gathering to celebrate RaNae's life will be from 1:30 - 4 p.m. Saturday, March 16, 2024, at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 406 West Main, Madelia; and in the metro area a gathering to celebrate her life on Saturday, May 11 at Buck 54 Bar and Grill, 15400 Buck Hill Road, Burnsville, MN 55306 from 2 - 5 p.m. RaNae was born March 17, 1953, to Gordon and Hazel (Harder) Wolle at Fairmont. She grew up on the family farm near Lewisville and graduated from St. James High School with the Class of 1971. RaNae participated in many high school activities: National Honor Society, Concert Choir, Girls County, class officer, class play, Student Council, and Triple Trio to name a few. Following high school she attended Bemidji State University. RaNae flew as a flight attendant for Northwest Orient and then Delta for 45 years, retiring in 2018. She met many interesting people and did so many things that she wasn't able to do growing up on the farm. She flew in the U.S. for many years, as well as international: Stockholm, London, Paris, Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Hong Kong, Tokyo, and more. In her free time, RaNae enjoyed camping, kayaking, horseback riding and traveling (for fun) in addition to spending time with friends and family. She also loved to entertain and her May Day parties will be long remembered. We will miss her sassy attitude, wonderful sense of humor and zest for life. Left to remember RaNae are her siblings: Dennis (Donna) Wolle, Larry (Vicky) Wolle, Lyle (Bonnie Ann) Wolle, Jeanyne Richie, Bryce (Dorothy) Wolle, Kimberly Wolle (Dave), Jan Wolle (Marty), Lori Ann Wolle (Joe); her nieces and nephews: Tami Jo Kuhl, Randy Wolle, Stacy Watkins, Mark Wolle, Nicole Geiger, Jamie Bergeman, Shannon Brekke, Cami Jo Krueger, Chad Wolle, Travis Wolle, Anna Beth Faber, Maria Krusemark, Kathryn Wolle, Garrett Wolle, Brent Trickel, Dawn Edwards, Eric Wolle, Allison Sandberg, Nathan Bahls, Jason Bahls, Trevor Massey, Tanner Massey; stepchildren: Scott Lythjohan, and Tami Lythjohan Minor, and many great-nieces and great-nephews, aunts, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gordon and Hazel Wolle; stepmother, Delores Wolle; brother, Johnny Jo Wolle; niece, Krissy Wolle; brother-in-law, Jim Walton, aunts, uncles, and special friend. A special thank you to Nathan and Victoria Bahls, Jason and Karyn Bahls and Travis and Jennifer Wolle for their love and support to the entire family during this difficult time. Memorial gifts are preferred to Hazel Massey, in care of Southpoint Financial Credit Union, 502 Cherry Drive, Waconia, MN 55387. Hazel, age nine, was born with Hypoplastic Right Heart Syndrome and now lives with "half a heart" as a single ventricle patient. Hazel most recently suffered a large stroke and continues to recover through a wide variety of treatments and therapies. Hazel is RaNae's great-niece, daughter of Trevor and Sherri Massey, and granddaughter of Lori Ann Wolle.

I flew with Rene on one of my first flights in 1972. We went horseback riding in Montana. I met her brother Lyle in Eugene doing an internship at Emmaus Lutheran.

I just can´t believe you´re gone. I´m stunned and saddened. We´ve known each other for so long during our flying careers. Whenever I saw your name on the crew orders, I knew it would be a good day. Those were the days, my friend. We thought
they´d never end, I wish peace for your family.

My condolences to the families. We were neighbors to the Wolle "gang" for many years on the farm. We have so many memories of great times especially hanging May baskets and hide-and-seek. When I say we it was me and my brothers. We still reminisce about the good old days.
May God bless you in your time of sorrow to give you peace and comfort.
