C. Aubuchon Obituary

Aubuchon, C. Duane Duke Age 78, Fortified with the Sacraments of the Holy Mother Church died May 26, 2009. Beloved husband of Florence Aubuchon (nee Huber) for the past 56 years. Preceded in death by his loving parents Edward and Maude Aubuchon and only brother Paul. Loving father and father-in-law of Dr. Craig E. (Karen Pohl) Aubuchon of St. Louis, Christiann Aubuchon of St. Louis and James F. (Pam Phillips) Aubuchon of Hickory, NC, cherished by his grandchildren Adam, Jason, Kaitlyn, Brian, Kathryn, Stephen, and Lindsey, our dear uncle, cousin and friend to many. Duke proudly served as Staff Sergeant in the Marines and was stationed in Korea from 1952-1953. He graduated cum laude in 1957 with a BS degree in Marketing from Southeast Missouri State College. He was Director of Operations for the Kroger Company from which he retired after 30 years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Marine Corps League. Services: from the ORTMANN-STIPANOVICH Funeral Home, 12444 Olive Blvd., Creve Coeur, Sat., May 30, 9:30 a.m. to Incarnate Word Church for 10 a.m. Mass. Interment Mon., June 1 10 a.m. at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Memorial contributions to the Marine Corps Foundation, Private George Phillips Detachment, In memory of C. Duane Aubuchon P.O. Box 1, Ballwin, MO 63022 or Charity of Choice Appreciated. Visitation 3:00-8:00 p.m. Friday. Semper Fi.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time. Your family was blessed to have such a wonderful Father and Grandfather. "Duke" is probably enjoying a wonderful day at one of Heaven's finest golf courses with a perfect game.
