I was so sorry to learn of this tragedy about Ed because I always watched them on TV with their Mother visiting different parts of Alton and St. Louis. I always enjoy it and felt like I knew the family. My heart and Prayers goes out to his entire Family especially his Mother because a Mother is never supposed to bury her Child! RIP Ed

I am glad I found this obituary because I wanted to express my sincere condolences for the death of Ed Brown. I watch the infomercials often and find the entertaining. If I ever need representation, Brown and Brown will be my first call. I will miss Ed´s humor on the infomercials and a special sympathy message for his mom, daughters and son, and of course all of his siblings. God bless you all.

In total shock. My grandmother and I regularly watched "On The Road with Brown & Brown" and even recorded it (with it airing often in the wee hours of the night). We always talked(and still do) about how much we liked the Brown brothers and how real and down to earth both Dan and Ed seemed to be(and yet how polar opposite their personalities seemed at the same time). A perfect compliment to each other. Mr. Brown´s lighthearted personality and easygoing demeanor made him extremely likable and he will be sorely missed. Deepest condolences to Dan and the rest of the family.

I was shock when friends of ours told us that Ed had died when we were going out to dinner together. I couldn't believe it. I enjoyed their show every night and enjoyed all the history they would tell. Their mother She is such a cuttie., You could tell that she was very close to her children. I enjoyed watching Ed play the guitar and harmonica. He was good. I hope you continue to show repeats of the shows. I really enjoyed them. He will be miss, you have my sympathy.

I never met Ed but really enjoyed watching On The Road with Brown & Brown. I hope they will continue to show them on TV as I know many would love to re watch or some people would like to start watching. I hope Ed finds his peace and the family finds comfort. Such a sad time especially around the holidays. Ed seemed like such a great down to earth kind of guy. Take care everyone especially Ed's mom.

Ed I will miss watching you and your brother as well as your Mom on your late night show. You all brought our old school days back to life because I was a North County youngster and graduated from Hazelwood West in 1981. I loved the nostalgia and lived for your show because you brought North County to life. I will miss you and your brother bantering back and forth. Sometimes life is tough and gets the best of us. Ed rest in peace because you will truly be missed. Praying for all the Brown's.

He was such a genuine guy who will be sadly missed by so many. I´m so very sorry.

To the Brown family.
I 1st met Bill in 1973 at Kirby Jr. High .
And then met Ed at Hazelwood East in 1976 .
I remember listening to Lynyrd Skynyrd on his 8 track in his bedroom .
And Dan had his mind on books .
Years later I met Greg .
And I remember when Bill , Greg and their mom stopped by my house for a visit.
Our moms hit it off big time .
And all the hours watching on the road. And all the good times seeing the Browns at LAKER DAY .
We were lucky to grow up in Spanish Lake , Missouri.

I met Ed as one of his Clients. He was very kind to me and helped me out of a few tight spots . He always spoke to me in a friendly tone. He really impressed me with an annual letter at Thanksgiving. He made me feel like I had value and was worth his time to share his thoughts of Thanksgiving with me, too. I will always think of Ed with high regard. May God Bless him and all of his loved ones.

To the Brown Family: I'm so sorry for your loss and my thoughts and prayers are with you. Ed and I went to Mizzou together, both graduating in 1982 from the business school. While I can't say that we stayed in touch that much once I moved away from St. Louis, he'd come down to visit me in NC in 1986/1987 and we'd talk by phone every great once in a while. Each time it was always so easy to reconnect in a fun and meaningful way. When I first saw his billboard as I drove from the STL airport, I just had to call him immediately and we shared some laughs about where life had taken us. From everything I've seen and read, I know he will be greatly missed by many. I'm grateful that I had the chance to know him as a friend. May he rest in peace and may you take comfort in many wonderful memories of him.

I am saddened to hear the news of Mr. Brown´s passing. I am originally from St. Louis and I currently live in Alabama. Whenever I would visit relatives in St. Louis, I stayed up late and always enjoyed watching the adventures of Brown & Brown as they explored MO and IL and shared historical info! They had a great interaction as brothers and sometimes their mother was with them on their adventures. He will be sorely missed and he is now with his Father and no longer suffering. I am praying for the family and may God Bless All of you!

I will forever keep you in my heart until the day we meet again my dear friend. I guess you had to go first because I will need a good attorney when I get there I had to leave a little humor at the end of this because I know that's what you would want is to have someone smiling.

Dear Brown family,
We did not know your loved one Ed personally at first, but as most St. Louisans we knew him through the wonderfully charming and endearing "On the Road" series. When my family and I did meet him finally and unexpectedly last summer at a local park we shamefully chased him down to meet him! We "loved" him so much, his gentle smile, sweet demeanor and humorous stories, that we literally gave him a group hug in the middle of the park! He humbly received our praise! He then graciously answered our one question as to how he came to his beautiful outlook on life. He told my young daughter- "Love! I love my Mom and brothers! I love my wife and kids! Love is ALL you need!" We know he loved his life! We have felt his "love" in his many shared memories, community service and the warm feeling we got passing him often on the road. Yes, we were the ones who honked and waved wildly each time! We just wanted to be a part of his genuineness and purity which is so rare! Thank you for sharing him with us all! Please accept our prayers! May the Lord comfort and keep you in your time of loss! Mr. Brown will be deeply missed but not forgotten! God bless your family!
