Penny, Clarence L., Jr.
89 of Cottleville, MO, born on 6-12-1934 to Lucille and Clarence L. Penny Sr. passed away Saturday, September 16 2023 at SSM St. Joseph Hospital in Lake St. Louis MO.
Clarence was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 63 years Carol S. Penny, his parents and brothers and sister.
He is survived by his children Dr. Rick Penny (Sue) Caseyville, IL, Vickie Poinsett (Dan) St. Louis, MO and Bryan Penny (Matt) Denver, CO his grandchildren Douglas Penny (Randi-Marie), Zachary Penny (Jessica) and Dion Penny, great-grandchildren Zatanna, Harper, Mabrey, Brooks and Isla.
Clarence was an avid golfer until weeks before his passing, achieving two lifetime holes-in-one. A U.S. Navy veteran, a member of the Caseyville United Methodist Church along with many other organizations throughout his life of service. He worked over 39 years at McDonnell Aircraft/McDonnell Douglas Corp.
Clarence will be deeply missed by his loving family, his golfing/poker buddies and his many friends at Avalon Park.
Services will be held on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at Herr Funeral Home in Collinsville, IL. Visitation at 10:00 a.m. and Funeral Service at 12:00 p.m. Clarence will join the love of his life, Carol at Valhalla Gardens in Belleville IL, directly after the Service.
