Kim, Ryan, Sarah & Claire, Our hearts break for you but we find peace in knowing Curtis is with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! We will miss his stories of the Matanzas brothers! I think of them today and it puts a smile on my face. He could tell a story like no other! Literally bringing tears to our eyes. We love him and you all so much! Curtis was such a bright light in the Tichenor family. We will miss his stories about Bernie and the electric fence. He had a way of making each of us feel special. Dear Kimmy and children,
The day our son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Kim, moved in across the street from you was the day that Curtis and you all became blessings in their lives. It's just unreal to us that he's gone. As his niece I have wonderful memories of him: watching the Summer Olympics when Ryan turned 1. Many late Christmas Eve nights in preparation for Santa to arrive. Always his humor and love for his family. We love you Kimmie, Claire & Ryan and send our thoughts to the rest of family and friends. Kim, Claire, Ryan and Lilly Dog, Curtis was a very special person and always made me feel welcome when I worked with his team in St Louis. His bountiful sense of humor had me in tears with laughter on many occasions and I am more blessed for having known him. It wont be the same but we all have wonderful memories. RIP Curtis, you were so loved.

I am saddened and shocked by Curtis' sudden passing. My thoughts and prayers are with his family during this very difficult time.
On the relatively infrequent occasions when I worked with Curtis at Peabody, I found him to be very hard working, positive, cheerful with a great sense of humor, personable and (most importantly) considerate and thoughtful of others.

Curtis was a true Southern Gentleman of the highest character, honorable, fair & square; with a rip-roarin' sense of humor. He adored his precious family; & was adored by all who knew him. He was much too short a time on this Earth; but we're blessed to have had him at all. Heaven is no longer as somber a place as it used to be...

Our family has always thought of Curtis and Kim as part of our extended family. When we visited them, they always made us feel like royalty. We were wined and dined at the very best of St. Louis and introduced to one of Curtis's favorite St. Loius fried chicken restaurant. He difinitely always showed us a good time. As lifelong friends of the Tichenors, I am so deeply saddened to hear their loss. Despite our constant, playful, UT/UK rivalry, I thought the world of Curtis.
