I don't know why You took him
From in our midst that day,
But I must trust Your wisdom
As I sit down to pray
That You will hold him near
And keep him safe and sound
And though I feel no cheer
You wrap Your arms around
And give me strength to stand up
And go on every day
Until we're reunited
In Heaven some fine day.
Though tears will fall I know that
Your mercy, love and grace
Will keep his loving family
As strong as any brace.
Please comfort us this morning
Make us stand so strong
As friends come here to help us
And bid a sad so long.

I was saddened to learn of Mr. Blumenkamp's passing. What a special man he was to all of us in Christ Memorial's Youth Group in the late 70's and early 80's. What a special group that was. I have very fond memories of that time in my life and I think it shaped who I am today. Sending my love to all of you and keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. Jeanne Bentrup

Don will be remembered for his kindness, his generosity and his devotion to God, family and friends. I know his lovely tenor voice is enhancing the music of the Angel Choir. We send our love and sympathy to Doris and the Blumenkamp Family. Kay and Bill Wing

Dear Doris and family, We were saddened to learn of Don's passing. He was a treasured friend and special member of the "dirty dozen".
