E. Junger Obituary
Junger, E. Eric, CStJ.
of Saint Louis, MO, formerly of New York City, NY, and Salisbury, CT, Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church on Thursday, Dec. 31, 2020; son of the late Erwin Junger and Bernice Junger; Brother of John Junger; dearest friend of Joseph Bumbery.
Eric worked with Tiffany & CO, NY, NY for 20 years, honorably served as Commander with The Most Venerable Order of St. John appointed the post-nominal CStJ by Queen Elizabeth II, longtime member of The Steps Alano Club & Lindell Club as an active member of long-term recovery. Eric graduated from Berkeley High School in 1959 and Studied Art History and Design at the University of Notre Dame.
Services: The body will be received at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis, 4431 Lindell Boulevard, Jan. 22 at 6 p.m. for visitation and the Holy Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Visitation will conclude at 8 p.m. A Solemn Requiem Mass will be offered on Jan. 23 at 10 a.m. in the Basilica. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to The Steps Alano Club, 3974 Humphrey St., St. Louis, MO 63116 or the completion of the Abbey Church of Clear Creek Benedictine Monastery where Eric received spiritual nourishment as a Lay Oblate. You were a great spiritual advisor to me. It was truly a gift to be able to spend time with you in the last part of your life. I will always remember your laugh, your smile, and your gentle demeanor. Continue to watch over me and I´ll be sure to visit clear creek monastery one day.
