Gerardo Chaves Obituary
July 12, 1934 - March 31, 2025
Gerardo Fidel Chaves, 90, passed away on March 31, 2025, in Columbus, Indiana. In 1960, he married Marlene T. Mitchell. They raised three children: Michelle (David) Spear, Julie (Kevin) Albrecht, and William (Jennifer) Chaves. Gerardo was preceded in death by his parents, Bertha and Manuel Chaves; wife; siblings; and in-laws. He is survived by relatives in the U.S. and Ecuador. Calling is on Fri., April 25th, at Little Flower Catholic Church in St. Louis, MO, from 4-7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial is on Sat., April 26th at 10 AM. Burial will take place at Resurrection Cemetery. Donations can be made to the American Cancer Society. You can view his video tribute at www.jewellrittman.com.
