Mr. Kelly was one of the nicest men that I knew growing up at St. Jerome's Catholic Grade School in North St. Louis County. He helped coach most of us young men and always brought Oranges to our soccer games for a halftime snack. A soft spoken man with a humorous side to him. He could always make Shawn and the rest of us kids laugh and have fun. He was a Proud Irishman and an avid sports fan. We remember him working for Southwestern Bell Telephone and the Kelly's seemed to have a working telephone in just about every room in their house.
Glenn passed his spirit on to Cathy and Shawn and we will always remember what a wonderful Man he was. RIP Glenn.

When I think of the years growing up in St. Jerome’s parish with The Kelly’s and Dougherty’s, I always remember St. Patrick’s Day at grade school. Not only was Kathy and Shawn dressed in green like the rest of the Irish kids but there was Glen and Jean at church …also sporting a touch of green and a shamrock or two.
It was always a treat to visit the Kelly home…with all those telephones that Glen had in every room of the house. As kids we enjoyed Glen’s funny sense of humor and gift of Gab which he passed on to both Kathy and Shawn.
Glen will be driving the Tour Bus in Heaven…Cead Mile Failte
Cheers to you Glen!

Shawn and Family:
One thing that will always stand out in my mind from our playing days at Benedictine was our parents. They were a tight knit group and seemed to truly love being at the games and in each other's company. Glen's sense of humor was priceless and will never be forgotten. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family!

I live across from Glen and his wife. A few years ago when Glen was feeling better and I would be walking my grandkids, we always talked, about the brewery, St. Louis, Southwestern Bell.etc an exciting time in St. Louis. Not only did he have a priceless wit, he was just a good man. Old Soldiers never die they just fade away, my condolences to all his family and friends. It was not like we were fast friends, but I will never forget him.
