March 30, 1942 - May 5, 2025

Jay Walter Hahn, age 83, of Ballwin, Missouri passed away on Monday, May 5, 2025. He was born in Smithsburg, MD on March 30, 1942 to the late John L. and Naomi (nee Ahalt) Hahn; beloved husband of Mary Denise Hahn (nee Schramm); loving father of Denise Hahn and Nicole Hahn (Ryan Jeffery); dear brother of Wanda (and the late Gilmore) Stitely, Yvonne (and the late Dale) Schliem, and the late La Nona (Dick) Mong, Verona (Chuck) Hurley and Omega (Rex) Bloom.

Jay was a retired Major in the U.S. Army and served for 24 years. He was a member of the American Legion, VFW, NRA and had two Vietnam tours.

A visitation for Jay will be held Tuesday, May 13, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Hoffmeister Colonial Mortuary, 6464 Chippewa St., St. Louis, MO 63109. Funeral service will be celebrated Wednesday, May 14, 2025, 11:30 AM in the funeral home chapel. Interment Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, 2900 Sheridan Rd, St. Louis, MO 63125 with full Military Honors.
