Jessie Maxwell Obituary

Maxwell, Jessie Leone House Springs, MO, 97, Friday, March 9, 2007. Born May 20, 1909, Orleans, NE, the daughter of Henry C. and Leone (Achenbach) Fairchild. She attended grade school, high school and college on the Southeast Missouri State University Campus in Cape Girardeau. Married the late Lloyd C. Maxwell, May 21, 1937. Survivors include, Martha Maxwell, High Ridge, Sue (Bob) Roberts, Houston, TX and Marjorie Maxwell, Marlborough. An educator, she taught Music in Missouri School at Senath, Vanduser, Diehlstaat, Caruth and Hornersville. Her last position was as an Elementary Teacher in the Northwest R-1 District, House Springs. Mrs. Maxwell was active in numerous professional organizations and was for many years a Girl Scout Leader. Noteworthy were her skills as an amateur painter and gardner, her knowledge of Cardinals Baseball and her pride as a survivor participant in the Susan G. Komen Race until age 96. The loving attention of close friends, Roberta and Jane Smith allowed her to remain with dignity in her own home.Services: Visitation Sunday, March 11 at McDaniel Funeral Home, Senath, MO. Funeral Services 10 a.m. Monday, March 12. Interment Kenneth, MO.
