Bennett, John H. Jr. at age 71, transitioned peacefully on Saturday, April 1, 2017. Dear husband of Linda Bennett; dear father of Scott Louis, Karla (Donnell) Lockridge and John Bennett, III; dear grandfather of John Bennett IV, Scott Jr. and Sedric Louis; dear brother of Marian Simmons, Peggy (Carl) Hope Tyler and Christopher (Linda) Bennett; dear relative and friend to many. John spent his career as a Routes Salesman for Continental Baking Co., among many other volunteer activities including AARP and Big Brothers, Big Sisters. Services: Visitation Friday, April 7, 4-7 pm at Granberry Mortuary, 63136. Funeral on Saturday, April 8, at 9 a.m. at St. James, 63113. In lieu of flowers, Gifts to Diabetes Assoc., P.O. Box 15829, Arlington, VA 22215 in his name.
