Although we have not seen each other for a few decades, I still remember the Jablonski family well. We lost touch with each other when they moved to Florissant and we moved to Arnold, MO. John was older and a role model for me, dort of an older brother. My mother, Kay (Kohut) Redman and his parents were very close. I am between Jim and David in age. I think I was over at the Jablonski's in City View at least a couple of times a week. I remember camping with the family several times and being over to their house for dinner many times. I remember John being an adventurous young man and a great older brother and as I said an older young man we could all look up to. I remember one time we camped with the Sea Scouts who had brought a sail boat to Lake Pomme De Terre, We got the boat out on the lake and the wind died out. When they tried to start the back-up it did not start. Several of us followed John into the water, grabbed a rope, and swam pulling the boat towards the dock area. I am glad I had those moments with the Jablonskis and will keep John, his wife, children, grandchildren, and his brothers in my prayers.
