Joe transferred to Vianney from Augustinian if memory serves and there couldn't have been a better Griffin. I was a year ahead of him and I'd never met anyone more friendly & outgoing than Joe. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Godspeed, Joe!

To Kathy, Liz, and the entire family,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Having fun at those CJ basketball games seems so long ago, but the memories are still vivid. A great guy to be around, and obviously a very proud dad.

Kathy.
There are no words to express my prayers and thoughts for you and your family. Joe is gone physically, but his spirit lives in you and the kids. You said that Liz had his enthusiasm for life. I loved that about Liz, and I'm sure that is true of the other children and grandchildren. Stephanie will be there for you that is just who she is. May your family's presence bring you comfort. Joe will watch over you. May you feel him and may this bring you peace.

Dear Kathy & Family,
Joe was one of the great guys that had endless enthusiasm, he made you feel good, he was always happy, this was a guy you wanted to be around. Joe was two years ahead of me at Vianney the entire school knew and loved Joe. Turns out Joe and I both went to Rolla to become engineers once again he was everyone's friend, beloved by all that knew him. The last time I saw Joe and Kathy was at a St. Pat's party at Dan Angeli's house over 30 years ago, but somehow we got busy living our lives and I haven't seen him again - I regret I didn't stay in touch with such a good guy. One thing I remember is that Joe worshiped Kathy and both of them were very welcoming to my wife as she was new to the St. Pats crowd. Please know our prayers are with you, we lost a wonderful man way too early. Surely Joe's great spirit and outgoing friendship has been instilled in Joe & Kathy's children. You should know your father was a friend and admired by countless numbers of people. Joe will be missed.
