To the family of Joe,
I was Joe's chemistry partner in Mr. Backus' class at Beaumont High School. We were seated alphabetically, and lucky me got to sit next to one of the best looking boys at the school. I thought he looked like Tony Curtis. I remember playing paper and pencil games like tic-tac-toe and dots with him in between chemistry experiments. Joe would talk about being the bat boy for the Cardinals. He made that class so much fun!
I'm very sad to hear of Joe's death, and I send my sincere sympathy to your family and his friends. I wasn't in touch with Joe after graduation, but it's heartwarming to know that he was a husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. I hope all of your memories give you some comfort at this difficult time.

To: The family,
My name is Don Bruch. I very sincerely send my sympathy to each family member. Such wishes undoubtedly seem hollow, but it is about all one can say when a loved one is lost.
Joe and I were best friends in his last 2 years of high school. I rode to school each day with him, after he got his first car. We also spent many days at the Cardinal clubhouse hanging uniforms, etc. We even stayed all night there on occasion. I had the pleasure of knowing his mom/dad and of course Gary. Still amazes me how many kids co-existed in the basement on Plover.
I contacted Joe about 2 years ago and we intended to 'get together', but unfortunately never did. I may have some picts of our high sch. times, and if so, will send them to Kay, whom I have never met, but has to be a very special lady. God bless.
