I´ve not known Ken but for a few years. He was a great guy who I was impressed by his energy. I met him at the church during applebutter time. Him,Chelsey, and Patrick were there from dawn to dusk. They all became true friends with me. I will miss him greatly. My thoughts and prayers are with Ches and Patrick at this heartbreaking time.

I worked for Ken until just a few years ago. He was the most hard working person I ever worked with. His son and wife were right there working with him, they were an impressive family together. I am so sorry he didn’t get to enjoy more time with them retired.

When I first met Ken--what would that be? 1973--he was coming from working on a film set in London, along with my sister Chesley. His brother Paul Morrissey made a lot of movies, and directed movies for Andy Warhol too. Ches and Ken had met at a lovely ski-village in Colorado, then moved for a year to Southeast Asia. But this pair of jet-setters truly settled down in Crescent, Missouri. At that time, I was living in the old Gudermuth house atop Lewis Road, but Ches and Ken soon became more caught up in the life of the community than I was. And they stayed central to the life of that valley, and its church (Lewis Memorial Chapel), and its citizens for the last 50 years. He made himself a home and made himself beloved by his neighbours. It wasn't hard to love and admire Ken.
