Leo Kidd Obituary

Kidd, Leo G. age 89, of Hillsboro, Missouri passed away on Sunday February 3, 2008 at his home in Hillsboro. Born February 15, 1918 in Cedar Hill, Missouri. He served as Postmaster for the Hillsboro area from 1951 until 1979, was a US Army Veteran serving in WW II and a Purple Heart recipient. Leo was very active in the community and gave his time freely to many clubs, organizations and city government. Beloved husband of Annette H. Kidd (nee Hopson) of Hillsboro, Missouri; loving father of Janet Grannemann; dear grandfather of Lisa (Daniel) Hunning (nee Grannemann); uncle of Bruce (Linda) Hopson; great uncle of Andrew Charles Hopson. A friend to all who new him.Services: Visitation will be held Tuesday from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the ROBERT D. BROWN Funeral Home Inc., 103 Fourth St., Hillsboro, Missouri 63050. Funeral 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 6, 2008, at the First Baptist Church of Hillsboro, with Visitation at the Church from 9:00 a.m. until the 10:00 a.m. service. Entombment at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Cedar Hill, Missouri. Memorials to The First Baptist Church of Hillsboro Building Fund or J.M.H. Hospice.
