Leonor Feliciano Obituary

Feliciano, Dr. Leonor Testa 66, beloved wife of 42 wonderful years to Dr. Wilfrido Feliciano passed away on Saturday, September 11, 2010 surrounded by her family. She was also loving mother and mother-in-law of Bart Feliciano, Sonjie (Perry) Solomon, Dr. Josephine (Dr. Patrick) Ryscavage, and Angelica (Keith) Aumiller; doting grandmother of Jaime, Theodore, Leonora, Emanuel and Owen; loyal cousin and friend. She was the cherished daughter of the late Antonio and Lourdes Testa of Manila, Philippines. Leonor was born in the Philippines on April 19, 1944. She attended medical school at University of Santo Tomas when she met University of the Philippines medical student, Wilfrido and they married on April 27, 1968. As a student, she was first runner-up for Ms. Philippines. After psychiatric training in New York, she moved to St. Louis, MO and practiced before stopping to raise her family. Leonor devoted much of her life to promoting causes related to the Philippines. She founded the Philippine Art Foundation, Amadoula Health Corporation and was Director of Partnerships for Gawad Kalinga St. Louis and Gawad Kalusugan USA which builds homes and medical clinics for the poor. She was an active member of the Class 1967 UST Medical Alumni. Whatever she did, she did it with belly-aching laughter, explosive color and joyous music and she will be missed by all those fortunate enough to know and love her. Services: Funeral services at the ORTMANN-STIPANOVICH Funeral Home, 12444 Olive Blvd., Creve Coeur, Friday, September 17, 9:30 a.m. to St. Monica Church for 10:00 a.m. Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to GK Kalusugan USA. Visitation at Ortmann- Stipanovich from 3-9 p.m. on Thursday, September 16.

Dear Mom, I think about you every day. Not a day goes by that i don't think about your beautiful smile, your larger than life presence, and your calming spirit.
