Marvin Lorbert Obituary

Lorbert, Marvin L. passed away peacefully on November 21st, one week short of his 87th Birthday November 28, 1926. Beloved son of the late Fred and Clara Lorbert; loving father of Joan (the late Steve) Pearl, John Lorbert, Jane (Robert) Ryberg and Scott Lorbert; loving Paw Paw of Taryn, M.J., Mary, Kristen, Bryan, Sarah, Kaylin and Brandon; dear great-grandfather of Teegan; dear brother of the late Elmyra Norris and Clifton Lorbert; dear uncle; dear friend to many, including Jean, the mother of his children. Following service in WW II, Marvin worked 45 years for Buxton & Skinner Printing Company where he retired as Executive VP. He was admired by all for his gentle demeanor and love for life's simplest pleasures. He loved to golf, write poems and letters, and tell stories. We all benefited beyond words from his wisdom and guidance. His sense of humor and endless kindness will be forever missed. Services: Funeral service at the SCHRADER Funeral Home and Crematory, 14960 Manchester Road at Holloway, Ballwin, Tuesday, 10:00 a.m. Interment New Bethlehem Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The BackStoppers, Inc. Visitation Monday 4-8 p.m. Friends may sign the family's on-line guestbook at Schrader.com.

Marv was a dear friend to my father, Joe Hessel. They worked together and Buxton & Skinner. I remember Marv and Jean from when I was a child. They were always so much fun to be around. I am sorry for your loss and know that Marv will be greatly missed. Remember that he brought joy to many people and you will now have an angel to watch over you.
