I am a physician at Honor Health (formerly Socttsdale Healtchare) and knew Dr. Gornet well. He was very well respected by the medical staff and well liked by his patients. He touched many lives and I will never forget him

Dearest Mike,

Your absence is a deep wound, a void in our family mosaic.

We share so much more than blood. My fondest memories center on Flora Place, Grandma and Grandpa's three story house. It is impossible to fully describe and impart the love and adventure that emanated Easter baskets, Pinochle, delicious roast beef, the candy jar and the third floor.

But the most vivid memories were always Christmas Eve. The avalanche of presents and people, Manhattans, new toys, and the grandchildren picture on the staircase that has, through the years morphed into the picture in front of the Christmas tree.

I treasure a Christmas Eve that was more recent. You and Mary, James and Jonathan were in St. Louis on Christmas Eve. The elder generations had made their way home and we remained at Jackie and Walter's house. Together we talked and laughed, enjoying the characters and whimsies of our picturesque family.

Mike, you enjoyed sharing many of the stories, reveling in the past and enjoying our present. I will forever cherish your laugh with the twinkle in your eye, and your enduring love of family.

With Love,

Elaine Shearman
