Michael Kowalewski Obituary

Kowalewski, Michael Steven At some point¢$º we all have to just take a deep breath and REMEMBER, in the end, it will work out. Until then: SMILE! mk. Michael Steven Kowalewski passed away on Sunday, July 18 at the age of 22. Mike worked at Whitmoor Country Club and was attending Lindenwood University with plans to become a professional athletic trainer. Mike was born in St. Louis, MO on October 29, 1987 and is survived by his parents Linda and Chester, his sister Lisa and brother David. He is also survived by his maternal grandparents John and Joyce Clark, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends whom he considered family. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Chester Sr. and Tillie Kowalewski and cousin William Bill Miller. Services: Visitation will be held at BAUE FUNERAL HOME, 3950 W. Clay, St. Charles, MO 63301 on Wednesday, July 21 from 3:008:00 p.m. Visitation will also be held Thursday, July 22, 2010 from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. at the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish Gymnasium. Linda and Family,
I was out of town last week and did not learn of your tragic loss until today. Linda, I am heartbroken for you and your family and simply have no words to adequately express my condolences. In reading about Michael, he so clearly brought love and laughter to all his family and friends, and it is so difficult to accept that such a spirited life could be cut short. I pray that your memories are a source of comfort and that you are able to find some intervals of peace in the months ahead. My thoughts and prayers are with you in this profoundly difficult time.

May God give you the strength, comfort and peace that you need to endure this difficult journey in the days, months and years ahead. My son went to school with Mike since 6th grade. He (and his friends) have had only positive and uplifting stories of Mike. By all accounts he is a wonderful man. I wanted to tell a little story...Today, about 5:30PM, during Mike's visitation, I was working near Highway 70 and Highway K. It had just rained and when the sun came out, I looked to the east towards Cave Springs (where Baue is) and there was the most beautiful rainbow I have ever seen. It was very bright and went from horizon to horizon. It sent a chill up my spine. I know it was God lifting Mike to the heavens.

I am so very sorry for your loss. I feel your pain and I pray for Mike and your family. May God bless you all during this difficult time.

I had the honor of knowing this young man through the St. Louis Royals Rugby Club where my sons played on the same team. He always had a positive attitude and out look on life. My prayers are with the Kowalewski family. He will be missed by many but remembered always. God bless.

Our heart and prayers are with the Kowalewski family. Mike was a strong and positive influence on many; I know many that have been touched by his words of encouragement that you could find on his face book. I had the honor of working with Mike in my construction business, he was a hard working man with tremendous work ethic. He will be missed!
