Gornet, Ramona
(nee Smith) Passed away peacefully in her sleep, Friday, December 29, 2023, and is now asleep in Jesus. Beloved wife of Kenneth Gornet for 65 years; loving mother of Matthew (Valerie Ratts), Nathan, Timothy (Monica), and the late Michael Gornet; dear mother-in-law of Mary Gornet; cherished grandmother of Megan (Nicholas Calotta), Zachary, Jonathan, Cameron, and James Gornet; and CJ and Josh Triplett; proud great-grandmother of Matthew "Mac"; dear sister, sister-in-law, aunt, cousin, and friend to many.
Ramona had a long career as a nurse at Jewish Hospital, which progressed to her becoming Head Nurse in the Rehabilitation Unit. Her second career was Grandmother, and she enjoyed cooking for her family and friends.
Services: Visitation at Bopp Chapel, 10610 Manchester Rd., Kirkwood, Friday, January 5th, 4:30-8:00 p.m. Funeral Service Saturday, January 6th, 1:00 p.m. at Bopp Chapel. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are preferred to Lutheran High School South STEM Program. www.boppchapel.com

I´m so sorry for your loss. I just saw this. Ramona saved my life when I worked for her by sitting me down and making me listen to the truth. RIP

Ramona has had a reputation as "The Chocolate Chip Cookie Lady" for a very long time. She will be sorely missed by many including the members of the Saturday Book Club in Webster Groves.
