Raymond Chafin Obituary

Chafin, Jr., Raymond K. 'Ray' died September 8 at St. Andrews Nursing Home in Conway, Arkansas. He was born December 2, 1951. Ray graduated from Kirkwood High School, Kirkwood, MO in 1969. He received a BA degree from Washington University in 1972 and a BS in Electrical Engineering in 1974. He later attended the University of Missouri at Rolla and completed all requirements for a PhD except for the dissertation. He worked in the semi-conductor industry for many years and later formed his own consulting company specializing in CAD software. In recent years he lived in Kaiser, Mo near the Lake of the Ozarks. He is survived by his parents, Ken and Ruth Chafin of Conway, AR; one sister, Margaret Flory of Conway; nephews Michael Flory, Jr., and Andrew Flory, both of Conway, and Christopher Flory of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Also Gerald Chafin of Rutledge, TN, an uncle, and Mary Smock, an aunt, of Laguna Woods, CA.Services will be private, under the direction of ROLLER-MCNUTT Funeral Home of Conway, Arkansas. 501-327-7727.
