Outstanding contributor and dear friend. Missing him and our periodic discussions. Loved the day when he was with us as an IOWA BULL. Hope that Mary and Jim are doing well. Note new address.

I would see Mr. Bugler at Christmas time at Carolynn and Lou Cacciatore's house. He was always so much fun to be around. It was plain to see where his children got their sense of humor. My sincere condolences go out to the entire Bugler family.

My name is Heidi Lester and me and my family lived across from Dick & Mary in Rockford. I so enjoyed their company. Mr. Bugler and I had many conversations sitting in his driveway. We didn't see eye to eye on many subjects and I loved to get him riled up!!!
Please give Mary a big hug from me. He and Mary were so very proud of their kids.

So very sorry for your loss.

When I was reassigned to Iowa, back in 1979, Dick was to first one to welcome me and that started a life long friendship of over 30 years. We worked for some time together on our fabulous IOWA BULL Motorola Team, only to have also had the opportunity to work with one of his sons, Jim in another Wireless Opportunity.
We had hours of debate of my lack of religion and he constantly drilled me on the life of a loyal Catholic. If there is ever one to actually get through the pearly gates, it will be Dick Bugler.
I was fortunate enough to talk to him just last week to share stories, (Jack Larsen Riding the Bull), Jim Anderson (his very close friend), Jeff Fuller, Joel Mulder, Liz Herigstad, Davey Bell, to speak of. John Smith, Pam Mayland, and Davey all preceded him in death.

Our Muskie Fishing Trips provided years of personal bonding. OUr Motorola Olympics at Lake Okoboji will never be forgotten.

HIs wife, Mary is a absolute one of a kind lifelong partner and his fully Fielded (-1) Football Team of kids are all the best, a testament that even today, the impossible can be done.

Words cannot express how much we will miss him, but as my time likewise becomes limited, I hope that Dick is at the Gates, giving me one last opportunity to believe.

RIP my super friend. Quite a guy!!

I remember Dick when I was a kid growing up in Urbandale. He was a leader at St. Plus X and a very impressive man. My condolences to Mary and the entire family.
