Robert Holloway Obituary

Holloway, Dr. Robert, Sr. died August 11, 2006, at St. Luke's South Hospital. He was 76 and resided in Overland Park, KS.
Dr. Holloway was an Anesthesiologist and retired from the Veterans Administration Medical Center, St. Louis, MO, in 1995. He was chief of Anesthesiology for most of the 37 years that he was there.
Dr. Holloway served as an Elder at Berea Presbyterian Church and was chairman of the Education Committee. He later transferred his membership to Cote Brilliante Presbyterian where he served as an elder and Health Committee Chairman.
Survivors are his wife of 50 years, Dorothy Mitchell Holloway; a son, Robert Holloway, Jr. (Daphne), Philadelphia, PA; two daughters, Pamela Holloway Darden (Elbert), Kansas City, MO, and Karen Evans (Carlton), Skokie, IL; and 8 grandchildren.Services: A memorial service was held at Community Christian Church, Kansas City, MO. Memorials may be sent to LeMoyne- Owen College, Memphis, TN or Meharry Medical College, Nashville TN.

I am sorry for your loss. It was a pleasure to know Robert for the short time that I did. He was a wonderful man who was full of wit and humor dispite his obvious pain. I will always remember the time spent with him listening to his stories.

I consider myself fortunate to have meet Dr. Holloway at work where I provided care to him and he in return provide knowledge and deep insight to a lot of issue that we discussed. I enjoyed every moment that I spent with him. I will dearly miss him.
