To Terri, Sean Amanda and family,
Our names are Nick & Mary Piacentini. It has already 8 years since your beautiful 'Bob'--husband and father has left us.
Terri, it has been too long since we last spoke. As Bob's CSM at ARPERCEN and USARC and also when he became a CSM at Fort Hunter Liggett--and then back to AR-PERSCOM himself--Bob and I were never too far from each other by telephone.
He forgot more than I ever knew in the AGR Program--but we were a 'great' team together. I immersed myself upstairs in the G1 section with your 'Bob', Glen Powers, Griff Glatthaar, Julian Edmondson, Karen Beamon, Lana Labay and Sheilah Williams. I remember Bob was always asking me to play softball with his G1team--especially when I told him "I used to play a little bit of baseball." Bob loved most sports--and was such a competitor--especially at softball, bowling, golf--and I don't know how many others!
I don't know if you remember the night I took him to a Cardinal game and after the game to meet the ESPN broadcast team, of my teammate, Buck Martinez and his partner, Gary Thorne. After the game, Buck asked Bob and I if we were hungry--because they were. I thought Bob would say "no"--but he said "yes." Buck & Gary said let's go to Laclede's Landing for a bite." While we were there, the Cardinals broadcaster, Mike Shannon Shannon joined us--and Bob was besides himself. He said, "Nick, I knew you played baseball but never like this!" Then I later introduced him to my other friend & teammate, Bob Forsch and your Bob went 'nuts!
Terri, Sean & Amanda--all of this to reminisce about a night I'll never forget. I loved your husband & Dad more than you'll ever know and when I came across this obituary--I had to write something in it. Now, whether you get a chance to read it or not--I'll never know.
It is so nice to see that Wayne Loehring, Griff Glatthaar, and Julian Edmondson had signed the book for your family!
May the Good Lord Bless the entire Family Rosner and just know he is still with all of you.
Mary & I send our deepest, fondest, and most blessed memories to you Terri.

Of any honor or accolade I have received, being numbered with the Three Amigos remains most cherished. A great teacher, leader, Soldier, and friend. The void you leave is testimony to the life you led. My deepest sympathies and condolences to your family.

The best way to honor someone who is not with us anymore is to continue living our life and keep their memory alive through everyday events. Bob would have wanted that and expected nothing less. He was a great husband, father, grandfather and friend. Remember: There is now one more star in the sky to make the nights a little less dark.
