Ronald Hopkins Obituary

Ronald Joseph Hopkins, 82, passed away on November 11, 2024, in Overland Park, Kansas. Ron is survived by his wife, Rosemary Hopkins; his son, Scott (Belinda) Hopkins; his daughter, Wendy Lubbe (Chris); and his grandchildren, Rose, Cameron, Ellie, and Sean.

Ron was born on December 13, 1941, in Kansas City, MO. He was a proud graduate of Rockhurst High School and Rockhurst University. Ron later moved to St. Louis, Missouri, where he attended St Louis University and earned an MBA. Ron served in the National Guard, worked at the St. Louis City Police Department, and later retired from the Missouri Department of Transportation.

Ron loved to fish, garden, and tell good stories. He loved BBQ, British comedy, and watching the St. Louis Blues. He was a proud Grandpa and will be missed by all who knew him.

UNCLE RON was AMAZING ! Always a SMILE .. KINDNESS.. LOVING ... FUNNY !!! I was HONORED he gave me away in my wedding in the 80´s! Uncle Ron has a very SPECIAL place in my heart! I know he is reuniting with my mom ... Mimi & Buddy .. Uncle Marty and so many more and having FUN ! Enjoy your peacefulness in HEAVEN!
