My parents took me to the Fox as a child. What a thrill to see the organ rising with Stan Kann playing. I thought it was magic. I was so proud to see him on The Johnny Carson show, being a fellow St. Louisan. I think of him often and he will always be a part of my life although I never had the opportunity to meet him. He brought joy and laughter to so many people. What a blessing he was!

I remember Stan when my parents were on the Charlotte Peters show and my little brother and I got to skip school and watch the show...what a wonderful experience. My dad, a terrible organist who did his best, was referred to in my family as the "Stan Kann of Goethe Ave." (the street where we grew up. Thanks for the memories, Stan, we love you.

Wonderful memories from dinner at Ruggeris Restaurant with my husband, to my visit with Stan Kann playing at the Fox while on a tour, and my son getting an autograph CD "Meet Me at the Fox" 42 years later.
What a gift he was to so many.

The only adult man I ever met who was like hanging around with a puppy.

Stan was a wonderful musician and brought joy to so many people.
I'm glad that he was able to do what he loved right up to the end.

Growing up in St. Louis and going to the Fox Theatre with my family was exciting. But listening to Stan play the organ before and after the movie was even more special. When my mother called me tonight to tell me about Stan it brought back wonderful memories and for that I would like to thank Stan. God Bless You.

The world of Theater Organ has lost a major performer and supporter. Stan played for our organ club in Rochester, NY some years ago and was a guest in my home for his stay here. He was a fine and gentle man and as hilarious and endearing off stage as he was on. Stan, tell Jesse and George and Tom and the others to make room for you and your hoover on the bench of the Celestial WurliTzer. The concerts up there will all be a bit more fun now. May God Bless You and Keep You always.
