Susan Keightley Schweser, 85, of Town and Country, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, October 19, 2025, following complications from leukemia. She was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 60 years, Gordon Schweser.

She is survived by her son Scott Schweser, daughter Allison Montgomery (Peter), grandchildren Ellie and Matthew Montgomery, and brother Frank Laurence Keightley (Sue).

Susan was born August 11, 1940 in St. Louis, Missouri to Frank and Rosella Keightley. As a student at Vassar College, she studied mathematics, earning a BA in 1962, following graduation from Webster Groves High School in 1958.

Susan's career in academia began at Washington University, where she earned a master's in mathematics while teaching other students. Her focus on educating others continued over several decades at St. Louis Community College, where she became a mathematics professor. She interrupted her career to raise her children before returning to education, where she treasured her time on campus with friends, helping others achieve their goals.

Susan spent many younger years playing tennis and continued her love of music and piano throughout her life. She greatly valued the many friends she made across activities. Her intelligence, grace, drive, and courage will be deeply missed.

A Memorial Service will be held at Ladue Chapel, 9450 Clayton Road, on Thursday, October 30, 2025 at 1:00 p.m.
