William K. Hackel

William Hackel Obituary

Hackel, William K. passed away Feb. 18, 2010. Beloved husband of the late Mary Ellen Hackel; dear father of William (Kelly) Hackel and Elizabeth (Scott) Ninneman; loving grandfather of Katharine and Brett Ninneman, and Benjamin Peacock. Mr. Hackel was a member of the 106th Infantry during WWII serving in the Battle of the Bulge. After his Army service, he was an engineer with Union Electric until he retired. Services: Visitation at KUTIS AFFTON Chapel, 10151 Gravois, Sun., Feb. 21, 2-4 p.m. Services at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery Mon., 10:30 a.m.

Happy memories of my five months with Bill and Mary back in 1989 remain. I heard of Mary's passing at the time and heard your sad news via a friend seeing it in Post-Disp paper. Good wishes to you all. Bruce Wood, England.
