Aletha S. Hackel, 92, of East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania died Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at Whitestone Care Center in Stroudsburg. She was the widow of the late Raymond Hackel and the late Keith Booth. Born in New Kensington, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Sylvia (Thomas) Ashbaugh.
Aletha was a hard worker. She raised her boys and kept several jobs to ensure she would provide the best for them. After retiring, Aletha served as secretary for the seniors' group in Marshalls Creek, PA. She enjoyed knitting and made beautiful quilts and blankets for her family and friends.
Aletha is survived by her sons: Keith Booth and his wife, Theresa; Robert Booth and his wife, Maureen; Thomas Booth and his wife, Laura; Edward Booth and his wife, Susan; Randy Hackel and his wife, Colleen; daughters: Debbie Fox and her husband, John; Barbara Ferraro and her husband, Raymond; grandchildren: Ryan Booth; Steven Booth and his wife, Shelby; Katie Booth and her husband, Max; Lyndsay Booth and her husband, John; Daniel Fox and his wife, Lisa; Matthew Fox and his wife, Kim; Nicole Echelberger and her husband, Kevin; Raymond Ferraro and his wife, Chelsea; Kathryn Diaz and her husband, Rodrigo; Dylan Ferraro; great-grandchildren: Edward John "EJ"; Fallon; Colt; Marco; Ryan Fox; Aidan Fox; Aiden Echelberger; Vivian Ferraro; Violet Ferraro; Vaughn Ferraro, siblings: Mary Gromicko; Doug Ashbaugh and a host of dear friends.
As per her wishes, there will be no services. Private cremation has been entrusted to the Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home, Inc., 23 N 9th Street, Stroudsburg, PA 18360.
