Mary Goetze Obituary
Memorial Mass of Christian Burial held on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. at St. Hubert Catholic Community (8201 Main Street) in Chanhassen. Gathering of family and friends one hour prior to the Mass at church on Tuesday.
A devoted wife, mother, Nana, Mary was known for her generous heart and her ability to make everyone feel like a lifelong friend or beloved family member. Mary was an original Chanhassen girl and spent her entire 84 years as a proud Chanhassen resident.
Mary cherished her role as "Nana" above all else, finding deep joy in every stage of her family's lives, from holding tiny hands and cheering at school events to watching her great-grandchildren laugh and play. Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love will be remembered by all who were lucky enough to know her.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents Martin and Marie Schlenk; sisters Teresa (John) Geatley, Jean Van Bank; brother Mark Schlenk; father-in-law and mother-in-law Darwin and Dorothy Goetze; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law David (Connie) Goetze, Carol Stodola, Steve Pauly, Mark McNaughton, Lowell Yahnke, Don Olson.
Mary is survived by her loving family: husband Don; daughter Kristine (Dan) Robb; grandchildren Katie (Jesse) Worm, Kellie (Ryan) Cathcart, Alex (Taylor) Robb; great-grandchildren Kalah, Gracelyn and Brielle Worm, James, Ella and Olivia Cathcart, Karson and Logan Robb; sister Dorlene Ilstrup; brother Jerry (Lois) Schlenk; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Rosi Schlenk, Jack VonBank, Marge Olson, Dale Goetze, Dorothy Pauly, Charlotte Yahnke, Sandy (Fritz) Coulter, Duane (Mary) Goetze, Jolene McNaughten, Dean Goetze, Daniel (Julie) Goetze; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
