Daniel Oza "D.O." Conwill III, 85, of Gulfport passed away peacefully at his home in Pass Christian surrounded by his family on April 16, 2020.

He was born August 2, 1934 in Gulfport. He graduated from Gulfport High School and Loyola University New Orleans. After finishing his residency at Charity Hospital in New Orleans he practiced Oral Surgery in Gulfport for 37 years. He was a Lutheran.

D.O. was a devoted family man who loved nothing more than spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchild. He enjoyed golf, fishing, hunting and loved football, especially the Saints and above all else, his beloved Ole Miss Rebels. He was larger than life and loved people. He never met a stranger and loved to start a conversation with everyone he met.

D.O. was President of the Dental Association, life long member of the Gulfport Yacht Club, the Century Club and was King of Merry Maskers.

D.O. was preceded in death by his parents Daniel and Olga Conwill and his brother George (Buster) Conwill. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Adrienne Conwill; his children Danny (Mary Clare) Conwill of New Orleans, Lisa (Jeff) Rosskopf of Gulfport, Ashley (George) French of Gulfport, Jill (Raymond) Brooks of Gulfport, Marcia (Charlie) DeMetz of Pass Christian, and Brad (Morgan) Conwill of Jackson; grandchildren, Clare Conwill, Marcia Conwill, Mary Elizabeth Conwill, Caroline Conwill, Daniel Conwill, Jeffrey Rosskopf, Adrienne Rosskopf, Brent (Paula) French, Danny (Mae) French, Brie Thames, Emmitt Thames, Amelia DeMetz, Charlie DeMetz, Jr., Mary Elaine DeMetz, Lainey Johnson, Gratton Conwill, Freddie Conwill and Felix Conwill; great grandchild Adelaide French.

The family would like to thank D.O.'s loving caregivers, Emerald Miles, Adrienne Davis, Whitnee Lane and Tiffany Miller.

A private graveside service was held April 18, 2020.

Memorial donations may be made in honor of Dr. Daniel Oza Conwill III to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Condolences to family and all who knew D.O. as just D.O. And professionally as well. Knew him a long time, as he and my bro grads GHS '52.
Pro...referral to and biop from D.O. sent a fellow to M.D. Anderson who lived to tell about it. And afterwards opened a hardware in Hansboro and did the continuing contribution part to paying his way. And there were more too.
