Emily Webber Obituary

Emily Michelle Webber
January 15, 1980 - March 3, 2021
New Orleans, Louisiana - Emily Michelle Webber, age 41 of New Orleans, formerly of Gulfport, passed away on Thursday, March 4, 2021.
Emily was born in Gulfport, MS and is preceded in death by her grandfathers, Robert Cain and Lee Webber, and Dr. Roland Samson, Jr.; her grandmother, Doris Webber; her uncles Irving and Armand de Pierne; her aunt Janice Doukas; and her angel Katherine Gillespie.
She is survived by her mother, Retia Cain Webber and Susan Carter Samson; her father, Robert Paull Webber; grandmother Robbie Smith; her siblings, Janice Renee Butler (Shawn), Cain Webber (Jourdana), and Mary Catherine Dennis (Brandon); nieces and nephews, Logan and Olivia Butler and Cooper Dennis; and host of close friends and numerous cousins.
She graduated from St. John High School in 1998 and attended The University of Mississippi, where she was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. She graduated in 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts in English and History. In 2004, Emily began working for Cardinal Health, where she was a Pharmacy Business Consultant and later ranked as one of the top three consultants in the country. In 2018, Emily took that knowledge and experience and purchased Braswell Drugs in Covington, LA with her business partner, Chris Martin. Emily's success and drive helped to grow her business and loyal customer base. Emily was very involved within the community and supported many mission projects including CASA, and was recognized in the 2012 March of Dimes Spotlight on Success Honoree, nominated Miss Polo with a Purpose honoree for the Junior League of Greater Covington's 23rd Harvest Cup Polo Classic, and was a Zoo-To-Do sponsor.
Emily loved the game of tennis, she said her favorite part of it was the social aspect and stress reliever. She was a member of Stone Creek Tennis Club where she participated in several tournaments and received multiple recognitions.
She was a woman of indomitable spirit. She was loved by so many that had the privilege of knowing her. We will always remember her smile, her warmth, her energy, her love of life, her fabulous cooking and her vibrant personality. Emily lived life to the absolute fullest, she will be greatly missed by her family, friends, business associates, her long-time doggie companion, Gordeaux, and the many others whose lives she touched.
Emily was the epitome of southern grace and charm, wit and flamboyance. Emily loved to host parties for her friends and family and she never missed a single detail in doing so including raking in high heels on the morning of her sister's wedding due to a storm and making sure the flowers were set up just right.
A champagne visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 16, 2021, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, from 5:00 - 8:00 pm.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, March 17, 2021, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church at 11:00 am. Friends may visit one hour prior at the church.
Entombment will be at Live Oak Cemetery in the Dayton Robinson Mausoleum Garden following Mass.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Louisiana SPCA, CASA New Orleans, and St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Gulfport, MS are greatly appreciated.

I admired this lady since I first met her. She was able to use her knowledge and education in her work. A determined person who set goals and achieved them and in her business would always assure her employees and customers that she would give them her attention and courtesies.
We miss her.
