Garland Reynolds Obituary
Garland was a 1967 graduate of Gulfport High School. He was employed with Alston Inc. for over twenty years and most recently served as valet supervisor at Island View Casino in Gulfport. Garland, best known for his uniquely wicked sense of humor, will be truly missed by his many friends and associates.
Garland was preceded in death by his son, Jason Lowell Reynolds and infant twin daughters, Cynthia and Diana; parents, Dr. William Weston Reynolds and Lucy Woodall Reynolds; and brothers Billy and David.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Cindy Lindsey Reynolds; a daughter, Jessica Reynolds Ladner and son-in-law, Billy Ladner; three grandchildren, Michael, Hannah and Avery; and brothers-in-law William E. Lindsey and Crockett Lindsey and their families.
Visitation will be held Sunday, May 23, 2010 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street, Gulfport. The funeral service will be Monday, May 24, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.

It was always a fun time when Eric and Garland would come into The Landing years ago. I have never forgotten those good times. He will be missed by many. He had such a bright light!

Garland, Cindy, Jessica, and Jason, when I met you I was given a gift. The most precious gift of all. Your friendship! That was 25 to 30 years ago until present. Garland came into The Landing Restaurant with Eric daily. Later I was introduced to Cindy and was given an invitation into the open yet somewhat private lives of their children Jason acting just like his Mama and Jessica with her little ponytail and big brown eyes speaking and cracking jokes just like her Dad. I love this family so very much. Cindy, Jessica, Billy, grandbabies, and to all your family and special friends (Eric, Lenny, Wayne, Bobby, Penny) thank you for continuing to pass on the love of my special friend... Garland. Absolutely an incredible family.

I also worked with him @ islandveiw i had the honor of working at both places with him tommy and i will surely miss hippie as tommy called him when most around alstons was country garland was rock and roll. love kevin

I had the pleasure of being in the band "Chapel Fire" with Garland in 1968 as well as being friends & classmates. Garland was a great singer, a good friend, and a funny, witty guy. He was one of the best front men for a band that I have ever worked with or seen in my life. He will be missed.

I had the pleasure of working with Garland at the Grand for many years. He was a wild and crazy guy who always left everyone with a big smile. We never knew what he would be saying next; we knew it would be good! He had an amazing sense of humor and every time I think of him, it will be with fondness and a smile.
