It is sad to hear of Gene's passing. I have admired and looked up to this man since I was a little boy - as Gene was my principal, cousin and a good fishing partner. Gene was at every funeral while serving as pallbearer for so many of my family members throughout the years. He will be missed and always remembered as a man with the highest of contributions devoted to Christianity. Prayers to the family of a man who made our world a better place to live.

I will do my best to see my Cousin, Gene, one more time. I live in Louisiana, but I have Pierce blood in me and will honor my loved ones from the Moss Point area forever. Those in the family know about Granny and Papaw Pierce.
