Kevin Stravinsky Obituary
He is survived by his wonderful wife, Melissa Holley Stravinsky, his beautiful twins, Dylan Joseph and Taydan Jaci Stravinsky; a brother, Kris Stravinsky; parents, Nancy Baker Stravinsky Isaacson and Joseph Anthony Stravinsky; Melissa's parents, Glen Holley and Arlene Taylor Holley; step parents, Lee Isaacson and Dorothy Stravinsky; grandparents Marion and Walter Baker and Ann Stravinsky; nieces, Destiney Cangelosi, Kristen Timberlake; a nephew, Tristan Stravinsky; step sisters, Shawn and Donna Timberlake. He was age 32 years, a native of Gretna, La. and a resident of Pearl River. He was a 1995 graduate of Pearl River Central High, Carrierre, MS. Kevin loved life and lived it to the fullest. He was an adventurer who enjoyed skydiving, motorcycle riding, snow skiing, fishing and hunting, and a devoted family man.
After Hurricane Katrina, he was a contractor who was essential to rebuilding the Gulf Coast area.
Kevin was an amazing man, who will be missed by all who met him.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral
Services at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME, 1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST (IN FOREST LAWN CEMETERY), Slidell, LA, on Thursday, September 24, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. Visitation on Thursday after 10:00 a.m. until funeral time. Arrangements by Honaker Funeral Home, Inc., Slidell, LA.

Missy, I cant tell you how sorry i am. I'm ever so thankful to know of the love you and kevin both have in our Father, Jesus Christ. I know in Him, there are NO goodbyes. There is true hope that you, tay and dylan can have that u will see him again. We all will, in Heaven. Dear Melissa,
I was so sorry to hear of this tragedy. I only met Kevin when he was a kid at his great grandmother's birthday party, which was also a family reunion. I think it was 1985 or '86.
My heart goes out to you and your children in this time.
I was glad to read so many kind words and get an idea of the kind of man Kevin grew up to be. I learned a couple of his life stories too, about boars and fish!
I'm sorry to be reaching you through this site, I didn't want to bother Nancy or Joey for your home address.

Missy I was deeply saddened to learn of Kevin's death. I have no words that express how sorry I am that you are facing such a personal tragedy. Kevin was such a strong but loving little child, I'm not surprised that he grew into such a wonderful father. That strength will live on through his twins. I remember how worried I would get when he and Mark would go catch turtles in the canal. I feel that his friendship helped mold Mark into the young man that he is. They seemed so different apart but together bonded into one, always on the same side, there for each other. So sorry for your loss, words cannot express.

Mark called to tell me the terrible news. From diapers to the Wonder Years, our boys were inseparable. I still think about when the boar chased them up the tree when we spent the weekend in Mississippi. Our three little boys driving up and down Fairlawn on their riding toys, now Dustin and Kevin, gone, but they will never be forgotten.

Im lost for words.I keep thinking about all his stories that he told. Most of all the weekend trip he and I made to South Beach. He made me go parasailing with him, I was cursing him the whole time and all he was doing was to laugh at me. He had a way of getting you to do things you wouldn't normally do AND I LOVE HIM FOR THAT!
