Lisa Renee VanCourt, age 47 of Gulfport, passed away on August 14, 2018.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ray and Opal Welch, and Cliff and Rosalie VanCourt; her aunt, Gail Dickens; and her uncle, Bobby VanCourt.
Lisa is survived by her parents, Brenda VanCourt and Ernest "Sandy" VanCourt (Julia); siblings, Mary Ann Rushing (Scott), Amy Kincaid (Richard), Buddy VanCourt (Gayle), and Mitch VanCourt; uncles, Donald Welch and Elmer Dickens; great uncle, William Edsel Heflin; special cousins, Matthew Dickens, Marc Dickens, and Holly Dickens Ford (Scott); and her pets, Lucy Opal and Hunter.
She was a graduate of Gulfport High School, class of 1988. Lisa was the Director of Kid Academy from 2004 through 2008, and then was employed as the Marketing Director at Amanda and Associates at Coastal Realty Group.
Lisa was an avid fan of the Mississippi Sea Wolves and was a huge advocate of animals. She was a member of Grace Memorial Baptist Church and loved her church family.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting memorial contributions be made to the Humane Society of South MS (hssm.org) or Pink Heart Fund, Long Beach, MS (pinkheartfunds.org).
A visitation will be held from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM, Thursday, August 16, 2018, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, MS. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM, Friday, August 17, 2018, at Grace Memorial Baptist Church, 2301 23rd Avenue, Gulfport, MS, with a visitation for family and friends from 11:00 AM until the service. The interment will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
