Mark Chandler Rickman, age 12, passed away on Friday, February 24, 2006, as a result of complications of Batten Disease. Mark lived in the Eagle Point area of Biloxi until Hurricane Katrina destroyed his home.
Mark attended the Gulf Coast Seventh Day Adventist Church School for K-4. He attended Harrison County Child Development Center since.
Mark was a kind, loving and very protective big brother. Mark showed people how to endure and still love.
Mark is survived by his little brother, James and his parents, Carol and David.
Services will be today, Wednesday, March 01, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at the Gulf Coast Seventh Day Adventist Church, 13301 Highway 67, Biloxi, MS. Friends may visit one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial contributions be made in Mark's name to Batten Disease Support and Research Association (bdsra.org).
Mark's family would like to thank all those of the Gulf Coast that supported the Batten Disease fund-raising done in Mark and his brother's honor. His family especially thanks the medical, nursing, and health care team that supported him.
