Mary Poem Clark McCabe, age 91, of Gulfport, passed away on December 14, 2019.
Mrs. McCabe was born to W.E. and Daisy Santa Cruz Clark. She was a member of Four Seasons Garden Club where she served as President, was a member and former president of the MS Dental Auxiliary, a member of the Revelers Mardi Gras Krewe, and was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Dr. Edson McCabe; her parents, W.E. Clark and Daisy Santa Cruz Clark; grandson, Wesley McCabe; siblings, Carloyn Smith, Earl Clark, Clifton Clark, Hubert Clark, and Norman Clark.
She is survived by her children, Pam Garth (Dr. Bill), Dr. Mike McCabe (Cindy), Cissy Quinn (Rick), and Dr. Tim McCabe (Debbie); grandchildren, Michael McCabe (Yvonne), Dr. Matthew McCabe (Morgan), Katie Blount (Charles), Jeff Garth (Julie), Lauren Garth, Dr. Brandy Hyde (Dr. Eric), Tim McCabe, Jr. (Michelle); and 11 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 18, 2019, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 5007 Lawson Avenue, Gulfport, from 9:00-11:00 am. Funeral services will be in the sanctuary following visitation.
Burial will be in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
The family would like to express their deep appreciation to Emma Privett, Jennifer Stewart, Martha Williams, Katherine Durr, Oma Oden, Jinetta Dalcour, and the team at Seashore Highlands Assisted Living for their love and care.
Memorials may be made to South MS Regional Center or Trinity United Methodist Church, 5007 Lawson Avenue, Gulfport, MS 39507.
