Nancy Sue DeLoach Vaughan, 86, of Ocean Springs, MS passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, December 16, 2019.

Nancy was born May 13, 1933 in the Jefferson Community of Carroll County, MS. Her life of 86 years bore witness to the highest standards in modesty, energy, hard work, promptness and discipline. Nancy deeply loved her family and enjoyed making home a haven for her husband and four children. She loved spending time outside, working in her yard and taking her daily four-mile walks. She took a Sabbath on Sunday and enjoyed worshiping at St. Paul United Methodist Church where she was a member.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Eva Hovis and Sidney Wiley DeLoach; sister, Elsa Lee Hall; and two brothers, Wayne Hovis DeLoach and Charles Larry DeLoach.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, John Kenneth Vaughan, Sr.; four children, John Kenneth "Kenny" Vaughan, Jr., Debra Harper Trenchard (Todd), William Gary Vaughan (Susan), and Christopher Michael Vaughan (Lillian); three grandsons, Michael Randall Harper (Amber), Christopher Jacob Vaughan (Amanda), and Canaan James Vaughan; three great-grandchildren, London Grace Harper, Camille Ivy Harper, and Grayson Luke Vaughan.

Special thanks to the warm hearts and loving hands of Amy, Debra, and Katina. The care she received from these women was invaluable to Nancy and the entire Vaughan family.

A graveside service was held at Crestlawn Memorial Park on Wednesday, December 18 at 1:00 p.m. The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
