Nathan Necile Acker, 56, a native of Gainesville, MS and a resident of Pearlington, MS, died Monday, June 21, 2004, in Slidell, LA.
Mr. Acker was of the Baptist faith and was employed at Shavers-Whittle Construction Company where he worked for many years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Nathaniel Acker and Eretta Willis Acker, one daughter; Dorzal Acker, three sisters; Mildred Clark, Cleo Beatrice Lee and Vanessa Haynes.
His survivors include: his wife; Debra Acker of Pearlington, MS, two sons; Dwayne Michael Acker of Waveland, MS, Devlin Necile (Regina) Acker of Long Beach, MS, one daughter; Candice Danille Acker, a step-daughter; Danah Malone both of Pearlington, MS, five brothers; Hildred Acker, Charles W. (Connie) Acker both of New Orleans, LA, Willie C. (Eartha) Acker of Bay St. Louis, MS, Larry (Sylvia) Acker of Pearlington, MS, Howard (Sharon) Acker of Slidell, LA, six sisters; Brenda Thomas of New Orleans, LA, Joyce (Thomas) Stubbs, Carol (Charlie) Jones both of Picayune, MS, Louise (James) Jackson , Yvonne (Leroy) Rhodes, Jeanette (Kenneth) Lewis all of Pearlington, MS, 10 grandchildren and many relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Friday, June 25, 2004, at New Hope Baptist Church, Pearlington, MS where there will be a visitation one hour prior to services. Interment will follow at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.
